Respect for the opiniรณn of others, for the different abilities, for their way, for their speed of learning, for their decisions, for their convictionsโฆ in shortโฆ respect for who they are and how they express themselves.
Treat others with respect and you will be treated equallyโฆ we have heard it plenty of times, but do we really practice it?
- Are we respectful towards our children?
- Do we really speak to them with respect?
- Do we treat them with respect?
As a ๐๐ผ๐ป๐๐ฐ๐ถ๐ผ๐๐ ๐ฃ๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐ป๐, respect is about setting boundaries, implementing consequences, teaching our children to be respectful of their own body, to respect the otherโs opinions and care for others with respect.
For me this understanding came about 8 years ago
when I received ๐ฎ๐ญ ๐๐ผ๐ผ๐น๐ ๐ณ๐ผ๐ฟ ๐๐ผ๐ป๐๐ฐ๐ถ๐ผ๐๐ ๐ฃ๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐ป๐๐ถ๐ป๐ด though ๐ง๐ต๐ฒ ๐ฃ๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐ป๐ ๐ง๐ฎ๐น๐ธ ๐ฆ๐๐๐๐ฒ๐บ developed by Chick Moorman and Thomas Haller.
